Privacy Statement

Finsights limits analytics collection to what is needed to understand aggregate product usage and operate the service safely.

Anonymous product analytics

Finsights uses a separate Umami Cloud website property to measure anonymous, aggregate use of a small allowlist of product areas. Automatic page tracking is disabled. Finsights sends only a normalized product-area path, a generic page title, and, for selected exports, a generic file type.

Finsights does not send Umami usernames, user or institution identifiers, email addresses, institution names, report or submission identifiers, search terms, query-builder inputs, filters, URL query strings or hashes, form values, Member Study information, or other customer data. Finsights does not use Umami session replay or identity features and respects browser Do Not Track settings.

Operational records

Finsights separately maintains first-party security, access, and operational records needed to provide and protect the service. Those records are not replaced by Umami and remain the authoritative source for identified activity and auditing.

Sensitive areas

Umami analytics are suppressed on Member Study, administration, user management, authentication and recovery, feedback, profile, API, and other non-allowlisted routes. Unknown routes are excluded by default.

Network information

As with any web request, an internet service can observe technical connection information such as an IP address while handling a request. Finsights does not include IP addresses in its Umami event payloads and does not assign an Umami identity to a visitor.

Questions

Questions about privacy or analytics can be submitted through the authenticated Finsights feedback page.
